职位描述: MissionTheProductEngineerisresponsibleforalltechnicaltasksrelatedtoNewProductDevelopmentswithinProjectsframework(leadtimeandbudgetrequests)andalsocompliancewithproductspecificationsandallregulatorystandards.He/sheshallbeaccountableforallkindsofproductstechnicalissuesduringthedevelopmentphases.TheProductEngineeriseagertomanageaswellstate-of-the-arttechnologies,aswellinfindingefficienttechnicalsolutionsfortechnicalchallengesandrequests. Mainduties?ProvidetechnicalsupportstoEU/USNPDinitiativesinrelationwiththeChinesemanufacturinglandscapebytakingtheleadfromConceptReleasetomanufacturing(ODM)andfromGoToolingtomanufacturing(OEM)andmeetspecifiedrequirementsbytheDivisions.?WiththeBusinessDevelopercounterpartfromtheSupplydepartment,reviewvendorquoteandconductproductdevelopmentcostanalysis.ReviewproductBOMforimplementingcostreductionopportunitiesorcostimprovementprogram,byredesigningofproductand/ormaterialsubstitution.?TheProductEngineerensurealltechnicalactivitiesrequiredfordoingtechnicaltestsandgettinghomologationapproval/certificateoftheproductsrelatedforaproductionstart.?WiththehelpofQualityEngineeringcounterpart,evaluateengineeringsampleandconfirm,theengineeringsampletestresultcomplywiththeproductspecificationsandregulatorystandards.?Withthesupplier,Initiateproductevaluationreport,identifyingallengineeringissues,followproductactionplansandexecuterecommendationrevisionsoftheproduct.?ReviewandupdatetheDesignFailureMode&EffectsAnalysis(DFMEA)reporttoensureallpotentialproblemsareaddressedbeforemassproduction.?Assistwiththesupplierengineeringdebugthroughprototypesamplemakingandengineeringpilotrun. Moreover,asanEngineer,?Arguehis/herproposals(Quality,times,costs,investments,profitability)inordertoallowfastandjudiciousdecision-makings?ImplementthemodificationsnecessaryontheproductsaccordingtothecorrectiveactionsstartedbyQualityManagement.?SupporttheProgramEngineertoguaranteetherespectofallobjectivesforthedifferentprojectsinprogress?Enrichpermanentlyhisknowledgeofmaterialsandinnovatingprocessesthroughatechnicalandtechnologicalwatch.   Levelknowledge&experience ?Bachelor’sdegreeoraboveinMechanicalengineerorrelateddiscipline?Minimumof10yearsworkingexperienceandatleast5yearsofsupervisoryexperienceinasimilarkindofrole?Strongtechnicalbackgroundinmechanicaldesign,plasticinjectionmolding,metaltubeformingprocess,plasticmolddesignandfabrication.Familiarwith(overseas)moldstandardsandrequirementsispreferred?Solidexperienceindevelopingnewproductsandplasticandmetalpartsdesign,abilitytoimplementindustrialdesignformanufacturing,experienceinJuvenileproductsispreferred?Experienceandabilitytoidentifydesignandmanufacturingproblemsandprovideworkablesolutionsforimprovingproducts.?SoundsknowledgeofproductregulationsorstandardssuchasASTM,EN,AS/NZetc.?Workingexperienceinjuvenileindustryisaplus. CompetencesthatdeterminetheroleLevelcompetencies 1.Decisiveness(2):Takesdecisionsindependentlyorgoesintoaction,evenifnotallinformationisavailableyet.Makessurethatnecessarytoolsgetimplemented. 2.Creativity(2):Comesupwithnewideasoracombinationofexistingworkmethods/solutionsofhis/herownaccord. 3.Persuasiveness(2):Gainsanin-depthinsightintootherpeopleandtuneshis/herlineofreasoningtoit.Conductaimedatconvincingothersofaparticularpositionandsecuringapprovalforspecificplans,ideasorproducts. Jobcompetencies 1.Leadership:Determininggoalsandprioritieseffectivelyandstipulatingthetime,activitiesandresourcesrequiredtoachievethesetgoals.2.PlanningandOrganizing:Determininggoalsandprioritieseffectivelyandstipulatingthetime,activitiesandresourcesrequiredtoachievethesetgoals.3.Resultsorientation:Activelyfocusedonachievingresultsandobjectives;readytotakeactionincaseofdisappointingresults.4.Persuasiveness:Inspiresandfacilitatespeople,alsooutsidehis/herimmediateworkingenvironment,toimprovetheirreasoning.Setsanexampletoothersbygaininganin-depthinsightintogroupsbothinsideandoutsideofhis/herorganisation,inordertoobtainappealingarguments.5.Coaching:Stimulatespeopleinhis/herimmediateworkingenvironmenttocoacheffectively,partlybysettinganexample. Otherskills&requirements ?Excellentcommunicationandpeoplemanagementskills?Analyticalanddetailedoriented?Strongmotivator&peoplemanager?Flexibility?Abletomulti-taskhandling?Self-starterandabilitytoworkindependently?Teamplayer,abletoworkacrossmultipledisciplines?ProficientinspokenandwrittenEnglish,Mandarinaplus
